SCVi Hosts Information Session On Elementary Dual Language

SCVi charter school is set to host a virtual information session  next week on it’s newly expanded Dual Language Immersion Program for children at the elementary level.

The school’s program has expanded to include children in grades TK-3, offering early language immersion by implementing 50 percent of instructional time in English and 50 percent in Spanish, according to officials.

“We’re thrilled and very proud to be able to offer this program to our learners because of the unrivalled cognitive, social and emotional skills that are acquired when learning in two languages,” Program Coordinator Farnaz Mobasheri Kaufman said. “It’s an incredible opportunity for any learner to gain important life skills.”

Interested and new families can attend the information meeting on Thursday Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. to learn about the program that offers the same curriculum and state standards while developing bilignial skills.
