Homicide Detectives Investigating Santa Clarita Death In Hospital Parking Structure

Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau are investigating a death in Santa Clarita on Saturday.

At around 7:43 a.m. Saturday first responders received reports of a medical emergency in the Kaiser parking structure on the 27000 block of Tourney Road, according to Jonathan Matheny, spokesperson with the L.A. County Fire Department.

“There was no transport to the hospital according to those on scene,” Matheny said.

Officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station confirmed that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau is investigating the incident as of 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

A vehicle from the L.A. County Coroner-Medical Examiner’s office responded to the scene, which has been blocked off to the public by law enforcement, per officials on scene.

The identity of the deceased, cause of death and circumstances leading up to the incident are unavailable as of Saturday afternoon.
