Filming has been scheduled to take place on Main Street in Santa Clarita’s Old Town Newhall next week, affecting traffic in the surrounding area.
Expected to take place at Bonanza Liquor and Elevate Church on the 24300 block of Main Street in Old Town Newhall, the production company has given notice that parking on Main Street, Walnut Street and Market Street may be affected between Monday, Aug. 9 through Wednesday, Aug. 11, according to the City of Santa Clarita.
The project, the newest installment of “American Crime Story” is expected to cover the perspective of the women involved with former President Bill Clinton around the time of his impeachment, according to production officials.
The planned scene on Main Street consists of both interior and exterior dialogue with cars expected to be passing through the background, which is scheduled to be produced between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m. on Tuesday.
Setup is expected to take place on Aug. 9, with a strike of the set scheduled for Aug. 11, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office.
Businesses in the surrounding area are expected to remain open. Parking at the structure on 9th Street and Railroad Avenue is set to remain available.
Parking on portions of Main Street, 8th Street and Walnut Street are not permitted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 9 as producers work to assemble the scene.

Parking on both sides of Main Street and Market Street, the south side of Main Street and Market Street and the west side of Walnut Street and Market Street are not permitted from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. Aug. 10 during the filming of ACS Impeachment.
“The City requires that film production companies make every effort to not disturb you while they are filming and to treat your neighborhood with the respect it deserves,” according to a statement from the City of Santa Clarita. “The City thanks you in advance for your hospitality and cooperation with this temporary filming.”
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station are expected to be conducting traffic near Market Street and Main Street on Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the filming process, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office.
