Waste Management of Santa Clarita is reminding residents of the special holiday schedule, stating that services for residential trash, recycling and green waste pick-up will be delayed by one day due to Memorial Day.
Throughout the week of May 31, services that include commercial service are set to be delayed by one day and resume normal operations on Tuesday June 1.
Waste Management recommends that customers place their carts out for pick-up one day later than usual on Tuesday June 1 through Saturday June 5, and that hazardous waste like propane tanks and pool chemicals should not be disposed of in trash and recycling carts.
Items such as these can cause fires to start in waste trucks and facilities, putting employees and communities in danger.
