Santa Clarita Man Killed In 14 Freeway Motorcycle Crash Identified, GoFundMe Set Up


A Santa Clarita man was identified as the individual killed in a 14 Freeway motorcycle crash Thursday evening.

Johnny Christensen, from Canyon Country was killed in the crash, his family said in a GoFundMe.

Around 6:50 p.m. Thursday Christensen was traveling home from work and collided with a big rig on the northbound 14 Freeway near Newhall Avenue  in Newhall, according to officials.

When units arrived on scene, he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the California Highway Patrol.

“No one is ever prepared for an accident let alone a passing to go along with it,” family and friends said in the GoFundMe.

Christensen leaves behind his wife Lidia, daughters, parents and many many friends.

“We’re trying to help our family by raising money for the expenses,” friends and family said in the GoFundMe. “We are very grateful for any support during this tragic heart wrenching time.”
