Man Freed From Tree After Downed Power Lines In Santa Clarita

Downed live wires in Santa Clarita caused a worker to be temporarily stuck in a tree before freeing himself Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 11:24 a.m. Saturday, live power lines fell on 18903 Stillmore St. in Canyon Country, causing a worker to be temporarily stuck in a tree before freeing himself, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.

Southern California Edison reportedly de-energized the wires at approximately 11:57 a.m.

The man was able to free himself from the tree after being stuck, according to Fire officials.

It is unclear if the power has turned back on or has affected anyone in surrounding areas.
