Set to be held at the Via Princessa Metrolink Station parking lot at 19201 Via Princessa, the City of Santa Clarita’s free tire collection event is scheduled for June 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps. to present all Santa Clarita and Los Angeles County residents an opportunity to dispose of used and scraped tires.

Most tires and rims are expected to be accepted. Oversized tires of any sort like tractor tires may not be accepted, according to the City.

Attendees planning to drop off over nine items must contact the Department of Public Health at (626) 430-5540 to request a Tire Transport Form. Tires from businesses may not be accepted, according to a statement from the City.

The event, offered by the City of Santa Clarita, is an effort to benefit the environment through tire collection.
