Officials with the National Weather Service (NWS) have forecast a chance of up to three inches of rain this weekend in the Santa Clarita weather forecast.

Starting Sunday night threw Monday, there is a 60 percent chance of rain with some areas expected to see up to three inches of precipitation, according to NWS officials.
“After Monday’s potential rainfall, things will start to clear up and only get warmer towards the weekend,” said David Sweet, a meteorologist at NWS.

The skies should start to clear up Monday night leading into the rest of the week, with Monday night set to be fairly cold in the mid 30s, according to Sweet.
