Suspect Linked To Several Santa Clarita Car Burglaries Arrested In Castaic

Two suspects were arrested last month at a Castaic motel after being linked to several vehicle burglaries and stolen cars in Santa Clarita as well as multiple narcotic charges.

Juvenile Intervention Team, (J-Team) deputies identified a suspect responsible for several vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts in the Santa Clarita Valley, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Hours of surveillance led deputies to the suspect at a motel in the 31500 block of Castaic Road in Castaic, where they were able to successfully apprehend the suspect.

“They also contacted an additional male adult in the room found in possession of various narcotics, including fentanyl and heroin, Arriaga said.

Douglas Holybee, 26, from Pasadena, and Scott Ryan, 34, from Valencia were both arrested on different charges of burglary, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and several narcotics charges, Arriaga added.

Holybee and Ryan were both arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with Holybee’s bail set at $25,000 and Ryan’s bail set at $0, according to arrest records.
