Local Business Bob’s Country Meats Closes Its Doors

On Saturday, Santa Clarita local business, Bob’s Country Meats, announced its closure until further notice due to one of the owner’s health issues.

Bob’s Country Meats has been serving the Santa Clarita community for over 35 years and took to Facebook to announce it’s full closure for an unknown period of time.

“It is with a heavy heart we will, unfortunately, be closing Bob’s Country Meats until further notice,” said the deli’s FaceBook announcement. “Keith is seriously ill and we are unable to continue to operate while caring for him.”

The deli, located on Soledad Canyon Road, is expected to be open for the last day of operation on Saturday Oct. 2.

“We have seen all the well wishes and our family truly appreciates everything,” the statement read. “The community my father has created around the store is truly beautiful and we know he will miss it all.”

Both Bob and Keith from Bob’s Country Meats have been close friends of KHTS’s Carl and Jeri Goldman for over 30 years.

“At this time we ask for privacy to let our family take care of Keith and get him home,” said the Mowry family. “Thank you all again and we will keep you posted if anything has changed.”
