Water Main Break Prompts Response From SCV Water Officials

A water main break prompted a response from Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency (SCV Water) officials Monday afternoon.

Around 5:16 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a water main break in the parking lot near Walmart  in the 25000 block of The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch, said Bernard Peters, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

As of 6:10 p.m., crews with Santa Clarita Water are on scene repairing the main break, according to officials on scene.

The cause of the break is unknown.
