Ventura’s 49th Annual Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show Announced For October

From Oct. 1 through 3, the 49th annual Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show is slated to open itself up to attendees, including those from the Santa Clarita Valley, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

In early October, Santa Clarita Valley residents may have the chance to attend Ventura’s scheduled 49th annual Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show.

“There is much to celebrate October 1-3 when the 49th annual Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show welcomes back attendees to the Ventura County Fairgrounds,” festival officials state. “Family-owned and operated, the beloved tradition returns with the nation’s finest artists and crafters eager to showcase their newest creations for a one-of-kind shopping experience unlike any other.”

The event, following last year’s COVID-19 pandemic hiatus, reportedly plans to follow state COVID-19 protocols and safety guidelines and offers a safe and fun day of activities for all ages.

“After a year hiatus we’re anxious to reignite our ‘hands made’ tradition that brings together friends and families,” officials state. “We’ve been working non-stop to deliver the unique experience our patrons have come to expect and love, with something for everyone; where they can visit with the artists, and in many cases, get items personalized for gifting.”

The festival is slated to feature more than 24,000 handmade creations from exhibitors, with specialty foods, contests, a Kidszone, strolling performers, demonstrations and more.

In the arts and crafts showcase, a variety of items from jewelry, blown glass, ceramics and wood carvings, to holiday décor, clothing, eclectic keepsakes, specialty foods, accessories, furniture, ornaments and more may be seen, according to festival officials.

“Giving back to the community, patrons who bring non-perishables for donation to Project Understanding will receive $2 off admission,” festival officials state. “Kids 12 and under are free, and tickets are good for the entire weekend.”

General admission tickets for the Harvest Festival are $9, senior (62+) and military tickets are $7, youths (13-17) are $4 and kids 12 and under are free, according to festival officials.

Hours for the Harvest Festival are slated for Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to officials.
