Santa Clarita Pursuit Suspect Arrested After Colliding With Several Vehicles

A wanted Georgia man was taken into custody Tuesday evening after leading deputies on a short Santa Clarita pursuit in a stolen vehicle and crashing into multiple cars.

Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies received reports of a possible drunk and reckless driver near Golden Valley Road and Valley Center Drive in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

When deputies arrived on scene, they attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, according to Arriaga.

The driver fled and led deputies on a brief pursuit and reportedly collided with several vehicles, according to Arriaga.

“During investigation, deputies identified the vehicle he was driving to be stolen,” Arriaga said. “Field sobriety tests were conducted and it was determined he was not under the influence.”
After deputies learned who the man was, they determined he had a warrant out of Georgia and out of Compton, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Sirmonte Fuller, 21, from Smyrna, Georgia was arrested for evading, grand theft of a vehicle, both felonies, reckless driving, a misdemeanor and his warrants, Arriaga added.

Fuller was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $135,000, according to arrest records.
