A four vehicle collision in Santa Clarita temporarily blocked 14 Freeway traffic when a vehicle “spun out and shot across the freeway” Tuesday evening.
Around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision on the northbound 14 Freeway in Newhall, according to Ed Pickett, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The collision was reported just south of Newhall,” Pickett said. “Four vehicles were involved.”
A white commercial van reportedly spun out on the far left lane on the 14 Freeway before hitting the embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Incident Logs.
The vehicle allegedly “spun out and shot across to the roadside” from the No. 1 lane, hitting three other vehicles, according to the CHP Incident Logs.
Northbound traffic on the 14 Freeway was temporarily blocked for an unknown duration as CHP investigated the scene.
No injuries were reported.
