‘Young Patient’ Airlifted After Reported Medical Emergency In Santa Clarita

A “young patient” was airlifted to the hospital Tuesday after suffering from a medical emergency in Santa Clarita.

Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a medical emergency on the 26000 block of Canyon Terrace Way in Canyon Country, said Cheryl Sims, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Due to the patient needing specialty treatment, fire officials requested a helicopter to transport the patient, according to officials.

The patient was transported by a ground ambulance to the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center to an awaiting helicopter.

“A young patient was airlifted to the hospital,” Sims said.

The condition of the patient, age and exact type of medical emergency is unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Fire officials.
