An Agua Dulce brush fire broke out near Santa Clarita Sunday, threatening several buildings.
UPDATE (3:50 p.m.): The fire, dubbed the Dulce fire, has grown to over ten acres at 100 percent containment. Crews continue working to extinguish the blaze.
Around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders received reports of a brush fire with structures threatened on Agua Dulce Canyon Road and W Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Ron Haralson.
“Looks like a second-alarm response with structures threatened,” Haralson said.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, the fire was first reported as two acres in light to medium brush with structures threatened, according to Fire officials.
The fire has spread to three acres as of 2:10 p.m. Sunday.
A second-alarm response had been requested by Fire officials at around 2 p.m. as 8-12 mile per hour winds caused increased risk.
No injuries have been reported.
