A patient was airlifted to the hospital Monday after suffering from a medical emergency on a trail in Castaic.
The medical emergency call went out at approximately 11:40 a.m. near Charlie Canyon Lateral and Tapia Mountainway in Castaic.
The call prompted a medical response from officials, according to a spokesperson for Los Angeles County Fire (LACoFD).
“We received the call at approximately 11:48 a.m. and responders arrived on scene at 12:18 p.m. On arrival, responders decided to transport the patient via air. There is no public information about the condition of the patient,” said LACoFD spokesperson Charisma Murillo.
Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics determined that the person was in need of immediate emergency care, and called for an airlift transport, said Murillo.
The patient was transported to the hospital via helicopter, with unknown injuries.
