Nearly Fifty Percent Of L.A. County Residents Fully Vaccinated, Including Santa Clarita

As of Monday, 50 percent of L.A. County residents ages 16 and over have been fully vaccinated, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH).

Los Angeles County is offering vaccines at many sites across the County in order to make it more accessible for eligible L.A. County residents to get vaccinated. This week, there are 756 sites offering vaccinations including pharmacies, clinics, community sites, and hospitals. Vaccines can be currently obtained at the eight county-run sites, all the L.A. city run sites, almost all mobile sites and many of the community sites without an appointment, according to LADPH.

“We can now proudly say that more than 50% of L.A. County residents 16 and older are fully vaccinated. It is truly thrilling to see us reach this landmark, and I thank everyone who has done their part to get us to this point,” said Dr. Barbara Ferrer, Director of Public Health. “We hope that by taking vaccines to people and responding to concerns about vaccine safety, we can make the progress needed to get to community immunity.”
