Brush Fire Breaks Out In Newhall Near Deputy Jake Drive

The Jake Fire broke out Monday in Newhall, prompting a response from firefighters.

The brush fire, dubbed the Jake Fire was first reported around 1:30 p.m. on Valle Del Oro and Deputy Jake Drive in Newhall, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

As of 1:40 p.m., the brush fire has burned one-quarter acre, according to Fire officials.
