One person was hoisted Monday afternoon after his water truck went off the 14 Freeway and down an embankment in an Agua Dulce crash, prompting a SIGAlert.
At around 2 p.m., an individual was trapped 100 feet down an embankment near Escondido Canyon Road after his water truck went off the 14 Freeway near Agua Dulce, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
“We were dispatched at 1:55,” said a Fire official. “We found one water tanker gone off the 14 Freeway. It went 100 feet off the freeway. We currently have a copter team doing a rope rescue.”
A SIGAlert was issued for the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound 14 Freeway, which were blocked for at least one hour due to the incident, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs
