Which Former NFL Player Still Has The Most Valuable Signature?

Judging who is the greatest National Football League (NFL) player of all time is always going to be subjective. It’s almost impossible to compare two players who played a different position in the sport.

However, one area that can be ranked is who has the ‘Most Valuable Signature’ in the history of the NFL. American Gambler have looked at a combination of online and retail auctions to come up with a definitive list by average price.

Namath Still Can’t Be Toppled

Joe Namath has been retired from the NFL for 44 years now, but he still has the highest average price of merchandise with his name signed on it. The Super Bowl III MVP’s signature is worth on average $21,062.02.

Namath’s autograph is almost worth twice as much as any other player in the history of the game. Tom Brady is second on the study with an average of $11,007.67. That figure may go up in the future, especially now he is a seven-time Super Bowl winner after helping Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory back in February.

Dan Marino Still A Big Hit

Quarterback Dan Marino spent 17 seasons in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins. He was named the league’s MVP in 1984. The former first round pick has an average signature of $9,282.99, the fourth-highest on the most valuable signature list.

Also making the top five is Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk. The 48-year-old still holds many of the rushing records in the NFL for his spell in the league between 1994 and 2006. His signature is worth on average $8,539.92.
