Wanted Suspect Arrested After Being Found With Loaded Firearm

A wanted suspect was taken into custody Tuesday evening for multiple warrants as well as being in possession of an improperly stored and loaded firearm in Canyon Country.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a felony warrant attached to the license plate on Robert C Lee Parkway in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Although it was later determined the driver did not match the name listed to the felony warrant, he did have multiple warrants to his own name and did not have a valid driver’s license,” Arriaga said.

Due to the driver having outstanding warrants, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered a loaded firearm, which was not properly stored, according to Arriaga.

Deandre Siggers, 32, from Pasadena, was arrested on a felony charge of being in possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, as well as for his warrants, Arriaga added.

Siggers was transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail for booking, with bail set at $10,693, according to arrest records.

This is the second arrest within the last four days where deputies have taken loaded firearms off the streets, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on the 28400 block of Sand Canyon Road in Canyon Country on a vehicle with an expired registration, Arriaga, wrote in an official post Tuesday.

Due to the vehicle being towed in the last six months for being unregistered, deputies conducted an “inventory search” for the vehicle, according to Arriaga.

During the search, deputies located a loaded revolver which was not registered to the driver, Arriaga said.

Landon Hansen, 32, from Santa Paula, was arrested on felony charges of being in possession of a loaded unregistered firearm and being in possession of a concealed firearm, Arriaga added.
