Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Newhall Crash

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Newhall.

Just after 7:35 p.m., reports were received of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Pine Street in Newhall, according to Supervisor Choi with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We got a call of a hit and run involving a pedestrian,” Choi said.

The extent of the patient’s injuries were not made public Tuesday night.

“One patient was taken to an area hospital,” said Supervisor Michael Pittman, also with the Department.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were in the Newhall area looking for the vehicle that fled following the incident as of 8 p.m. Tuesday.
