A possible pediatric patient is to be airlifted from Canyon Country after a traffic collision involving a pedestrian Sunday evening.
BREAKING: A child was struck by a car on the 26300 block of Ridge Vale Drive in Newhall. Copter 16 has landed at Valley View Elementary to medivac.

Just before 4 p.m. reports were received of a traffic collision on the 26000 block of Ridge Vale Drive in Canyon Country, according to Supervisor Cheryl Sims with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We have a possible pediatric patient in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash,” Sims said. “We have a copter assigned to the incident and the landing zone is Valley View Elementary, but the airlift has not yet happened.”
No other injuries were reported in relation to the crash, according to officials with the department.
