An overturned vehicle crashed into several parked vehicles in Newhall Wednesday night, with a possible drunk driver involved in the collision, officials said.
Just before 9:40 p.m., emergency responders received a call for an expanded traffic collision near the intersection of 15th Street and Railroad Avenue in Newhall, less than a block away from Fire Station 73, which responded to the incident, according to Supervisor Ornelas with the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD).
“We got the call at (9:38 p.m.) from Santa Clarita Sheriff for a three-vehicle (traffic collision) with persons trapped,” said Ornelas. “When we got there, there was no trap, and we made no transports.”
No major injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, per LACoFD officials.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene to perform field sobriety tests on the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash, per officials on scene.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation as of 10:05 p.m. Wednesday night. 15th Street is expected to be blocked for an unknown duration between Railroad Avenue and Walnut Avenue to allow emergency officials to investigate.
