Newhall Roads Closed As Two-Month-Old Patient Is Rushed To Hospital

Roads in Newhall were temporarily blocked as a pediatric patient was rushed to Henry Mayo Wednesday afternoon.

At about 4:20 p.m., reports were received of an infant with difficulty breathing on Ridge Vale Dr in Newhall, according to Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We got the call of a patient with difficulty breathing,” Peters said. “We were told the patient was a two-month-old female.”

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station blocked sections of Newhall Avenue and Railroad Avenue to escort the ambulance with the patient to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia.

Because the patient is a minor, no specific details regarding their condition are likely to be released by health officials.
