Scott Wilk, who represents parts of the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys in the California State Senate, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Wilk, released a statement Monday after testing positive for the coronavirus despite not experiencing any outward symptoms.
“On Sunday, prior to returning to Sacramento for the new Legislative Session, I tested positive for COVID,” Wilk said. “Thankfully, I am asymptomatic and feel completely fine, but will follow the recommendations of the California Department of Public Health and remain home.”
According to Wilk’s statement, he is fully vaccinated and had plans to receive a booster shot this week before testing positive.
“If you are considering vaccination, I urge you to take that precaution.”
