Ventura Woman Arrested After DUI Crash With Child In Car

A Ventura woman was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) early Wednesday morning after a 5 Freeway crash with a child in the vehicle.

Just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, 47-year-old Natalie Dover was driving southbound on the 5 Freeway near Rye Canyon Road in a 2013 Audi with her 10-year-old daughter in the car, according to Officer Josh Greengard, spokesperson with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.

Dover veered off the freeway and collided with the dirt embankment, with both her and her daughter suspected to sustain minor injuries.

“During the investigation, Dover was suspected to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested,” Greengard said.

Dover was arrested for DUI of Any Drug, and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on $200,000 bail.
