UPDATE: 14-Year-Old Steals Car In Valencia, Suspect In Custody

Deputies are investigating after a 14-year-old allegedly stole a vehicle in Valencia Tuesday afternoon.

Around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, deputies received reports of a stolen vehicle in the 25000 block of Springfield Court in Valencia, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

UPDATE: The 14-year-old was located and arrested near Golden Valley Road and Sierra Highway, after she allegedly stole her mother’s car, Sheriff’s officials confirmed.

The suspect is a 14-year-old, according to Arriaga.

The suspect stole a blue Ford Edge, however, it is unknown if the vehicle belonged to a family member or stranger.

As of 2:10 p.m., the suspect remains at-large.
