Gilchrist Farm in Santa Clarita is opening its barn doors to the public for its annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch throughout the month of October.
Featuring a wide variety of events including a straw bale maze, wagon rides, pony rides and archery, Gilchrist Farms Harvest Festival is delivering fall activities throughout the month of October.
Fridays include live music during the afternoon festivities, while a bake sale fundraiser and pumpkin cooking contest, including a $200 grand prize are set to be held each weekend.
Seasonal favorites ranging from caramel apples to roasted corn on the cob are expected to be available, as well as a number of food trucks, according to officials.
Visitors can also meet some of the farm’s residents at the petting zoo, and the event offers unique animal experiences on the weekends in the form of pig races and goat milking demonstrations.

For the adventurous, Gilchrist Farms in Santa Clarita is also offering goat milking, axe throwing and a pumpkin slingshot this fall season, according to Gilchrist Farm officials.
Gilchrist Farm has also set up a fall-themed marketplace for local vendors to offer seasonal pieces.
Admission and parking are free, while wristbands are available for access to the event’s activities for $25 on weekdays and $45 on weekends, according to officials.
Gilchrist Farm is located at 30116 Bouquet Canyon Road and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the Halloween season, with varying activities scheduled.
