$5,000 In Cash Stolen During Santa Clarita Burglary, Suspect At-Large

Deputies are investigating a Santa Clarita burglary at Zankou Chicken after thousands of dollars in cash was stolen Thursday.

On Thursday evening, deputies responded to the Zankou Chicken on the 24400 block of Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia regarding a burglary call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies noticed one of the glass window panes was shattered,” Arriaga said.
An inventory check was conducted and it was determined approximately $5,000 had been stolen from the safe, according to Sheriff’s officials.

As of Monday, the suspect remains at large, according to Arriaga.
