A woman who was believed to have been kidnapped in Santa Clarita last Thursday has been located and is safe, officials said.
On Thursday around 11 p.m., 9-1-1 callers reported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department a woman screaming for help as it appeared she was being kidnapped near Calgrove Boulevard in Newhall, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
Detectives were able to identify the vehicle from a video that was filmed and circulated throughout social media.

As of Wednesday, the woman has been found, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“She has been located and she is safe,” Arriaga said.
Although the woman has been found, Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate the incident, but are not saying if they believe a crime was committed or not.
“Everything is still under investigation,” Arriaga said.
