Threatening Text Messages Made Over Three Months Result In Santa Clarita Felony Arrest

A Santa Clarita man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly sending threatening text messages to an unknown person over a three-month span.

On June 10, deputies responded to the 27400 block of Evan Lane in Santa Clarita for a call for service regarding threatening text messages, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The victim had been receiving several text messages from an unknown number making threats, according to Arriaga.

“These messages were also sent between June and September 2021,” she said.

No arrests were made at the time, pending an investigation.

“Through investigative work, detectives were able to identify the number to the suspect,” Arriaga said.

On Tuesday, Albert Sardarbekians, 33, was arrested for felony criminal threats on the 29000 block of Shadow Valley Court in Santa Clarita, Arriaga added.

Sardarbekians was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.
