A reported Santa Clarita shooting has prompted a response from medical personnel Tuesday.
UPDATE: (6:30 p.m.): Deputies have detained a suspect, however can not confirm if a shooting occurred and are still investigating, according to Sgt. Bengtson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a possible shooting in the 18800 of Darter Drive in Santa Clarita, according to officials.
“We got the call from Sheriff’s to stage,” said Cherryl Sims, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, it is unclear if any victims were struck by gunfire, according to officials.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are on scene investigating.
