Overturned Car Catches Fire After Colliding With House In A Sloan Canyon Crash, Driver At-Large

A vehicle overturned and caught fire before colliding with a house Saturday morning in a Sloan Canyon crash in Castaic.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a structure in the 28400 block of Sloan Canyon Road in Castaic, said Martin Rangel, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We had one vehicle into a structure,” Rangel said.

The vehicle was on its side and caught fire but did not extend into the Sloan Canyon home, according to Fire officials.

This is the second crash to occur at this location within the last month.

On Sunday Aug. 8, a 17-year-old Castaic resident was killed in a crash near the same location.
