Santa Clarita city officials confirmed the building of a new drive-thru Chipotle Mexican Grill location in the Santa Clarita Valley, replacing the former Boston Market location.
A new drive-thru Chipotle Mexican Grill location is slated to be built in the former location of Boston Market in Santa Clarita, according to Jason Crawford, Marketing and Economic Development Manager for the City of Santa Clarita.
Chipotle recently received approval by the City of Santa Clarita, and the location will reportedly feature a new design related to the site’s drive-thru system, according to city officials.

“We are currently scheduled to open a location in Santa Clarita at some point this winter,” said Tyler Benson, Manager of External Communications for Chipotle Mexican Grill. “This new location will feature a Chipotlane, the brand’s digital order drive thru pick up lane.”
As stated by Benson, the site’s plan is reportedly to take orders through the restaurant’s mobile application or website and have customers pick up at the drive-thru, a design referred to as a “Chipotlane.”
The whole idea of Chipotlanes is for Chipotle customers to visit the restaurant without ever leaving their cars, according to Crawford.
Chipotle’s new Santa Clarita location is slated to feature both a drive-thru window and a set of parking spaces designed for restaurant pick ups, according to Crawford.
The new drive-thru Chipotle restaurant is slated to be located on Bouquet Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia, city officials report.
The planned Chipotle location will reportedly replace the spot where Boston Market used to sit in the same parking lot as the nearby Best Buy and Trader Joe’s.
On average, each Chipotle restaurant employs 25 individuals and offers leading benefits like access to mental health care for employees and their families, as well as debt-free degrees and more, according to Benson.
