In a signing day event at Valencia High School Tuesday, 12 senior student athletes signed collegiate letters of intent to their future colleges.
At a socially-distanced signing day event at the Valencia Vikings Football Stadium on Tuesday, 12 student athletes announced their letters of intent to their future colleges after graduation.
“Today is pretty special for a lot of reasons,” said Valencia High School Principal Dr. Pete Getz Tuesday. “Obviously we are coming out of a pandemic and how hard it has impacted all of our student athletes, but today’s really special because the students that are here have decided to continue on to the collegiate level of their athletics.”

The Valencia student athletes with collegiate scholarships include:
- Ha’ani Untalen — La Verna, Girls Volleyball
- Noah Veluzat — Point Loma, Boys Basketball
- Trent Munoz — Cal State Bakersfield and Hastings in Nebraska, Wrestling
- America Lopez — Undecided, Wrestling
- Emma Bramson — University of New Mexico, Softball
- Delaney Scully — University of the Pacific, Softball
- Ashley Stevens — Wilson College, Softball
- Mailey Ballard — Westminster College, Girls Basketball
- Sydney Makar — UC Davis, Track
- Kaile Kukaua — McNeese St. University, Girls Soccer
- Julie Unas — Columbia, Swim
- Izabelle Adams — Arizona State University, Swim
“We have 12 out here that are going on to college to do their thing so it’s a special day. Despite all the things that have gone on, it’s really neat for us to celebrate with our athletes and their families,” Getz concluded.
