SCV Water To Hold Public Board Meeting Discussing Budget, Groundwater Sustainability


The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency (SCV Water) is scheduled to hold a public board meeting Monday to address their fiscal budget and groundwater sustainability plans, among other subjects.

On July 12, SCV Water is set to hold a virtual special board meeting viewable by members of the public to discuss various topics related to the operation of the agency.

On the agenda, the organization is set to discuss which parts of their budget should be adjusted for the fiscal year of 2021/2022.

The Santa Clarita Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SCV-GSA) has recommended a budget of $1,194,888, an increase of $587,648 over last year’s budget projection, according to officials.

An update on the Sustainable Groundwater Management plan is also set to be given during the meeting.
