Santa Clarita Vandalism Suspect Arrested Nearly Two Months After Causing Thousands Of Dollars In Damages

A Santa Clarita vandalism suspect was arrested Friday after allegedly damaging an individual’s vehicle in April.

On April 22, deputies received reports of a vandalism call on the 25800 block of Lochmoor Road in Valencia, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The suspect reportedly vandalized the victim’s vehicle, causing approximately $2,000 in damages, according to Arriaga.

“The suspect was not present at the time the report was taken,” Arriaga said.

A detective conducted follow-up investigations and was able to locate and identify who the suspect was to locate him on Friday on Westinghouse Place in Castaic.

George Rodriguez, 31, a transient, was arrested for felony vandalism, Arriaga added.

Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $20,000, according to arrest records.
