Santa Clarita Grocery Donates Multiple Refrigerators To Local Moose Lodge

Local non-profit Santa Clarita Grocery has donated two refrigerators and one freezer to a local Moose Lodge in Canyon Country.

Santa Clarita Grocery has donated two refrigerators and one freezer to Moose Lodge 2173 in Canyon Country to help expand their charitable actions for those in need in Santa Clarita.

“By giving them fridges and freezers, it allows them to give more during the year, not just around the holidays,” said Bradley Grose, Founder of Santa Clarita Grocery in a statement Saturday. “By teaming up with them, it allows us to have a further reach in the community.”

Santa Clarita Grocery has previously provided the Lodge with Thanksgiving turkeys, which were then dispersed to people in the community without meals.

The team-up between SC Grocery and Lodge 2173 was seamless due to the many Lodge members who also volunteer at SC Grocery, including Raymond Smith, an 89-year-old Korean War veteran.

This collaboration will contribute to Lodge 2173 events such as their annual Christmas giveaway, in which 10 Santa Clarita families are provided with complete meals for Christmas dinner.

“We need the room, we gotta do as many donations as we can. Our main goal is to help the people who need it,” said Mike Quigley, President of Moose Lodge 2173.
