Man With Knife Arrested Following Deputy Involved Fight In Santa Clarita

A man armed with a knife was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly fighting a deputy in Santa Clarita, officials said.

Around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies received reports of a deputy involved fight near Railroad Avenue and Bouquet Canyon Road near the Original Saugus Cafe in Saugus, according to Lt. James Royal with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station. 

“We responded to the location in response to a report of someone pointing a knife at them,” Royal said. “Deputies were involved in a struggle before taking the suspect into custody.” 

One person has been arrested in relation to the incident, according to Sheriff’s officials.

An ambulance was requested, but no information has been released about the extent of any injuries sustained as of Tuesday evening, according to officials on scene.
