Commercial filming for Monster Energy is scheduled on Main Street in Santa Clarita next week, affecting parking in the surrounding area.
Expected to take place at Placerita Liquor on the 24000 block of Main Street in Old Town Newhall, the production company has given notice that parking on Main Street, 8th Street and Railroad Avenue may be affected between Monday, July 12 to Wednesday, July 15, according to the City of Santa Clarita.
The planned commercial scene consists of interior dialogue as well as musical performances with music playback that are expected to be filmed between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on July 13 and 14.
Setup is expected to take place on July 12, with a strike of the set scheduled on July 15, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office.

The cast and crew are required to park their vehicles in the Newhall Crossings Parking Structure, while production vehicles are able to park in posted areas.
Parking on the east side of Main Street just north of 8th Street, and on the north side of 8th Street between Main Street and Railroad Avenue is not permitted to the public on the following dates:
- July 12 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- July 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- July 14 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- July 15 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Placerita Liquor is scheduled to be closed to the public during those dates.
“The City requires that film production companies make every effort to not disturb you while they are filming and to treat your neighborhood with the respect it deserves,” according to a statement from the City of Santa Clarita. “The City thanks you in advance for your hospitality and cooperation with this temporary filming.”
