Child Airlifted After Near-Death Drowning Just North Of Santa Clarita


A child was airlifted after almost drowning just north of Santa Clarita, officials said. 

Around 1:10 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders received reports of a drowning involving a child on the 3500 block of Vista Del Lago near Pyramid Lake on Sunday, said dispatch supervisor Cheryl Sims with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“One young person was airlifted to a local hospital,” Sims said. 

The extent of the injuries sustained is not available as of Sunday afternoon.
