The identity of the suspect responsible for Tuesday’s Agua Dulce Fire Station shooting at Los Angeles County Fire Station 81 has been revealed by coroner’s officials.
The Agua Dulce Fire Station shooter has been identified as 45-year-old Jonathan P. Tatone, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiners Coroner’s Office.
Although the fireman killed in the incident has not officially been identified, family members on social media have revealed the victim to be 44-year-old Tory Carlon.

Around 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a shooting at Fire Station 81 in Agua Dulce in the 8700 block of Sierra Highway, said Daryl Osby, the chief of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Tatone, who was an off-duty firefighter at Station 81, came back to the station where he fatally shot Carlon and injured the captain of the fire station, according to officials.
Shortly after the shooting, a fire was reported at a residence in the 2600 block of Bent Spur Drive in Acton, which was linked to the suspect’s vehicle, according to Osby.
After Sheriff’s deputies deemed the area safe, firefighters made access to the structure, and found a man, believed to have been the suspect, in a pool with a self-inflicted gunshot, according to Sheriff’s officials.
As of Wednesday morning, the captain is in critical but stable condition, according to officials.
The reason for the shooting is still unknown as of Wednesday evening.
