Toddler Airlifted After Near-Drowning In Canyon Country

A toddler was transported to the hospital Monday afternoon after a near-drowning at a pool in Canyon Country.

Around 12:30 p.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of a 2-year-old child that had nearly drowned in a pool on the 25100 block of Via Princessa in Canyon Country, according to Leslie Lua with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“Our units arrived on scene at 12:38, the call was a drowning call,” said Lua. “Copter 16 is on scene.”

Emergency responders are expected to remain on scene for the duration of the incident
