‘Several’ Spent Bullet Casings Recovered After Possible Newhall Shooting

Deputies are continuing to investigate an alleged Newhall shooting that occurred Saturday evening, with “several” shell casings recovered.

Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 21300 block of Trumpet Drive in Newhall regarding a shooting at an inhabited dwelling call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies located several spent bullet casings, however were unable to locate any victims or damage to property,” Arriaga said.

A resident on Trumpet Drive told KHTS that there were over 20 shell casings recovered.

“At this time, there is no identifying suspect information,” Arriaga said.
