A Santa Clarita brush fire in Newhall was quickly doused by firefighters Saturday evening.
Around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders received reports of a brush fire on the 22200 block of Park Street in Newhall, according to Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a quarter acre in light grass,” Ornelas said. “Forward progress stopped.”
Structures were threatened by the initial blaze, although firefighters were soon able to get the situation under control, officials said.
