Los Angeles County Libraries are set to re-open in-person services in April for 30 of their locations including in Stevenson Ranch.
Starting April 19, 30 out of the 85 L.A. County libraries including the one in Stevenson Ranch are set to re-open in-person services, according to officials.
“With Los Angeles County entering the orange tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, libraries have been cleared to safely re-open at 50 percent capacity, while also maintaining 6-feett of physical distance for customers,” officials said.
In preparation for re-opening library doors to the public, L.A. County Library is working to ensure safety protocols are met and appropriate preventative measures are in place, according to officials.
“L.A. County Library’s re-opening is part of a phased re-opening plan that prioritizes library openings based on geographic location, building availability and the ability to accommodate physical distance guidelines and Public Health protocols,” officials said.
As part of its re-opening, the Library has placed an emphasis on equity with special consideration for reOpening libraries in underserved areas where residents prioritize in-person services, according to officials.

- Quartz Hill
- Rosemead
- Rowland Heights
- San Fernando
- South Whittier
- Stevenson Ranch
- View Park Bebe Moore Campbell
- West Covina
- West Hollywood
- Woodcrest
Additional libraries across the county are expected to be added to the Library’s re-opening plan.
Outdoor programming for a limited number of participants is set to begin in early summer 2021 and is expected to be available at select libraries. A schedule of upcoming events is expected to be added to the library’s website and will be disseminated to Library newsletter subscribers.
Sidewalk Service and Bookdrops are also expected to remain available at participating libraries, according to officials.
L.A. County Library continues to offer enhanced digital offerings including a temporary digital library card to access eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, online classes and more.
