During Thursday’s game, the Hart Indians defeated the West Ranch Wildcats 28-6 in the final matchup of the season.
The shortened five-game season gave our local teams one last shot to turn their season around. Hart’s (2-2-1) matchup against West Ranch (1-4) showed the Indian’s consistency with a score and point-after-touchdown (PAT) every single quarter.
On the 2nd down in the first quarter with under a minute left, senior wide receiver Ryan Tomaszewski completed a 17 yard pass from Hart freshman quarterback Tim Larkins, getting Hart on the board.
Senior Kicker Cruz Lopez followed up the score with a solid PAT, wrapping up the first quarter at West Ranch 0, Hart 7.
The second quarter found another impressive team up between Larkins and Tomaszewski, snagging an 11-yard touchdown pass followed by another PAT by Cruz, increasing the Indian’s lead to 14-0.

With zero scores in the first half, West Ranch decided to utilize senior quarterback Walker Eget to help retaliate in the third quarter.
The San Jose State commit gained the Wildcats 63 yards and their first score of the night with help from sophomore Maverick Diaz for a 7-yard touchdown pass.
Senior running back Ryan Rossi of Hart made it even harder for West Ranch to catch up by scoring back-to-back rushing scores from two and four yards out.
West ranch’s 42-21 loss against Saugus last week seemed to bleed over into this week’s matchup, while Hart carried their victorious momentum from last week’s 35-7 win against Canyon to a triumphant season end.
