At Least One Hospitalized After Vehicle Plunges Down Embankment In Castaic

A vehicle went off the I-5 freeway down into an embankment in Castaic Saturday, sending at least one to the hospital.

Around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, first responders received a report of a traffic collision on the I-5 freeway just north of Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, said Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The vehicle was reported to have been down an embankment off the I-5 freeway, Peters said.

One patient was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries.
